Our values

  • Then Moses said, “If you don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place. How will anyone know that you look favorably on me—on me and on your people—if you don’t go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.” Exodus 33:15-16

Each of us was created to live every day in the presence of the Most Holy God, and being wrapped in this presence is what separates us from the world. At Firehouse, we are a people who seek fellowship with Jesus both corporately and privately. This is the one thing that is most needed.

  • Your word, LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Psalm 119:89

The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple. I open my mouth and pant, because I long for your commandments. Psalm 119: 130-131

The Holy Scriptures are paramount to knowing the Lord, the voice and direction of His Spirit, and to become more like Jesus every day. The scriptures all speak of Jesus and reveal the merciful redemption and the loving heart of our heavenly Father. We seek to live our lives nourished by His holy Word and to dedicate our hearts and minds to be transformed by the power of scripture.

  • For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 1 Corinthians 2:2

At Firehouse our gatherings center around the one truth that sets Christianity apart from every other religion: we have a God who bleeds. We are loved by a Savior who shed His own blood as a new covenant so that we would have the privilege to become sons and daughters of the Most High God. Our freedom to worship and walk about freely with the indwelling Holy Spirit was made possible by the life, suffering, death, burial, and resurrection of the only Son of God, Jesus Christ. He alone is our source and focus of worship.

  • And they steadfastly persevered, devoting themselves constantly to the instruction and fellowship of the apostles, to the breaking of bread [including the Lord’s Supper] and prayers. And a sense of awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were performed through the apostles. Acts 2:42-43

Jesus called a people, not individual persons. This means we were created to live inside a thriving, loving community that is submitted one to another in humility. As we come together to worship, to pray, and to share in the Lord’s Supper of communion, we experience true safety, friendship, and respect where we can each thrive in our callings.

  • But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of Him who called you out of darkness into this marvelous light. Deuteronomy 7:6-8 & 1 Peter 2:9

We are a people made by God and for His pleasure. He has called each and every one of us to a purpose: to know Him and be known by Him. Out of this purpose, we live our lives with a mission to make Jesus known in our families and communities.
